8th May 2022 Locomotive Services Ltd Class 47 locomotives No. 47501 'Craftsman' and No. 47805 'Roger Hosking MA 1925-2013 ' made several passes through Taunton between the 6th, 7th and 8th May. The locos hauled two Statesman charters over the course of the weekend, both the Cornish Explorer Statesman and Dreaming Spires Statesman. 28th August 2021 The Statesman dining charter crosses the Somerset Levels at sunset on the 28th August 2021 having visited the Darmouth Regatta with passengers no doubt enjoying the sunning views from the comfort of their seats. The sound of the Class 47 Sulzer power unit working at full power could be heard above the tractors and combines racing to get the last of the harvest completed.
