4th May 2022 Direct Rail Services operated, Regional Railways-liveried Class 37/4 No. 37425 'Sir Robert McAlpine/ Concrete Bob' is pictured stabled in Platform 6 (the second locomotive in a week to use the Platform) on the 4th May 2022. The locomotive arrived at Taunton having operated light engine as 0Z49 16:10 Crewe Gresty Bridge - Taunton. 2nd May 2022 Freightliner Class 66/6 No.66617 is pictured recessed at Taunton in Platform 6 on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022. The locomotive had worked a rake of wagons to Exeter Riverside Yard, it returned light engine as 0C28 09:30 Exeter Riverside - Whatley Quarry. As the loco was running 79 minutes early it was recessed in Platform 6 for 1 Hour and 40 Minutes before continuing forward to Westbury and Whatley Quarry. (Photo: Paul Finimore)
