29th April 2025 With farmers now busy in the fields planting crops for the season, this scene was captured on the 29th April 2025. All up trains during the late afternoon were affected by an imposed speed limit on this section of the line. Services were losing twelve to thirteen minutes on their schedule between Cogload Junction and Bridgwater. Cross-country Voyagers No.221123 and No.220013 pass by with the 1S55 14:27 Plymouth to Edinburgh at what seemed like walking pace. The down line did not appear to be affected. (Photo: S A Ginn)

20th July 2024 A small number of former Avanti West Coast Class 221 'Super' Voyager are now being transferred to the Cross Country fleet. The Voyagers are no strangers to the south west as the entire Voyager fleet once operated for Virgin Trains when first introduced before being transferred to selected West Coast Mainline services to Holyhead. The recently repatriated Voyagers carry a slightly revised livery with lighter yellow ends and darker sides.
