With the mainline closed west of Exeter on the 17th January 2009 there was a revised timetable in operation at Taunton, most services were terminating at Exeter St Davids for onward road transport connecting with stations to Plymouth.
Some other services also terminated at Taunton during this period. We have provided a selection of images highlighting a colourful selection of train services and different operating patterns during this planned closure of the mainline for essential maintenance.
