The West Somerset Railway held their Autumn Diesel Gala over the weekend over the 30th and 31st October 1993.
The WSR home fleet heritage diesel locomotives were in action with Hymeks No.D7017 & No.D7018 operating alongside visiting Class 20 No.20110 (D8110) from the South Devon Railway. The DEPG Class 14 No.D9526 was also providing brake van trips between Bishops Lydeard and Norton Fitzwarren.
Part restored Class 117 DMU (formed as 51663, 59678, and 51887) was also operating passenger trips in its part BR Green, part Network Southeast livery.
Two coaching stock rakes were in operation. Set 1: 9278, 4449, 5024, 1804 Aries, 1909 Orion and 8074. Set 2: 4599, 4260, 3058, 80736, 4660 and 4419.
