Railfreight Distribution Class 37 locomotives No.37073 'Fort William An Gearasdan' and split headcode Class 37 No.37110 double head through Taunton East Junction (Obrdige) on the 31st May 1993.

The Pathfinder Charter 'The Cornishman' ran in conjunction with the Class 40 Appeal, operated from Crewe to Penzance. The Class 37s hauled the special charter to Exeter, where they were removed and replaced by Class 50 locomotives D400 and No. 50033 'Glorious' to work forward to Plymouth, where No. 50007 'Hercules' would then continue to Penzance and back. Later in the day, all three Class 50 locomotives hauled the train back to Bristol, where the Class 37s had repositioned during the day to meet the train and return it to Crewe.
