Fairwater Yard

Now and Then images from Fairwater Yard

2013: Freightliners Fleet of Class 66 locomotives are looking very weather worn these days, with washing considered 'an expense' often it's left until exams for a loco to be cleaned. Bardon Aggregates liveried Class 66/6 No.66623 will not be operating any trains for some time, after the loco threw a piston out of the engine while shunting in Fairwater Yard. The loco is pictured stabled on the south head shunt on the 25th may 2013, pending removal for repair at Leeds Midland Road depot.
