22nd May 2004 BR Blue Class 40 No.40145 operated Pathfinder Tours 'Western Whistler II' charter on the 22nd May 2004 taking the Class 40 to Plymouth. The tour started in Crewe using Class 45 Peak No.D172 to Bristol before the Class 40 took over for the run to Plymouth Friary, where a Class 08 shunter was used to bring the tour into Plymouth Station.
