16th February 2025 The following day the same Class 70 locomotives No.70813 and No.70814 are pictured passing Norton Fitzwarren together on the 16th February 2025. The 6C23 09:00 Goonbarrow Junction to Westbury engineers train ran into an issues at Totnes during its northbound trip back to Wiltshire. A member of staff at Totnes reported smoke exiting from the leading bogie of the tail locomotive No.70813. The train was stopped at Dainton for inspection and then moved forward to Newton Abbot to clear the line for further inspection. Eventually the tail loco was run around and attached to the front loco No. 70814. The train later continued and passed Taunton running 132 minutes behind schedule. (Photo: Brian Garrett)
