27th July 2020 The double-heading of Class 66 locomotives is an incredibly rare sight as most single 3300hp locomotive can handle most trains. However, the loaded Exeter Riverside aggregate flow required either the superior Class 59 for haulage or a regeared Class 66/6. On the 27th of July 2020 presumably, neither of these were available so two standard Class 66 locomotives were provided.
