27th July 2002 GWR King 4-6-0 No. 6024 'King Edward I' passes under the famous Cogload Junction flyover on Saturday 27th July 2002 hauling an Alton - Minehead charter. This was a one-way steam excursion between the two preserved railways. The charter was later returned to Alton by BR Blue Class 37 No.37308. The trespasser who was stood on the up mainline in this image was reported to the British Transport Police at the time, but sadly no arrests were made. (Photo: Brian Garrett)
