7th July 1985
'The Great Western Ltd' GWR150 Celebrations charter stands at Taunton on the 7th of July 1985. The 1Z47 09:02 London Paddington - Plymouth was hauled from to Bristol by 47484. Steam locomotives No. 5051 'Drysllwyn Castle' and No. 4930 'Hagley Hall' then hauled the tour into the South West. Sadly the pair later stalled on Dainton Bank having to be assisted by British Rail Class 50 No. 50045 'Achilles'. The charter terminated at Totnes rather than Plymouth before returning to London behind No. 50007 'Hercules'

GWR 4-6-0 'Castle' No. 5051 'Drysllwyn Castle' leads 4-6-0 'Hall' No. 4930 'Hagley Hall' over Whiteball entering Devon on the 7th July 1985 hauling 'The Great Western Limited'. 1Z47 09:02 London Paddington - Plymouth charter. Having completed a servicing stop at Taunton the pair entered Devon but later stalled at Dainton Tunnel. After unsuccessful attempts to get the train moving No. 50045 'Achilles' was removed from its train and used to push the charter to Totnes where it was terminated short of its destination.
