24th March 2019 In glorious afternoon sunlight, Colas Rail Freight Class 66 No.66847 was called upon to assist Network Rail and GWR to haul a rail crane from Westbury to Laira in order to help re-rail a Class 150/2 which had derailed near Laira Depot in Plymouth. The 1Z99 15:45 Westbury - Laira was captured on Sunday 24th March 2019 passing Cogload Junction with the Colas Rail Crane/ equipment in tow. Upon passing Taunton Station the train was routed into Fairwater Yard reception roads where the train recessed. It later continued to Plymouth overnight where it assisted the lifting of the Class 150 back onto the track. (Photo: Adam Snow)
