8th October 2018 World Famous steam locomotive LNER A3 No. 60103 'Flying Scotsman' steamed north through Taunton with partner LMS Black 5 No.44871 on the 8th October 2018. The 1Z72 15:09 Exeter St Davids - Bristol Temple Meads passed Taunton at 16:18 hauling 'The Cathedrals Express' charter.
