4th October 2018 LNER A3 Pacific No. 60103 'Flying Scotsman' and LMS Black 5 No.44871 visited Taunton on Thursday 4th September 2018 on a double charter hauling The Cathedrals Express. Having hauled the 1Z44 06:40 Theale - Taunton charter the pair are pictured stabled on the site of the former Taunton 83B shed being serviced during their layover period, while a West Coast Class 47 No.47760 returned the train to Theale.
