4th July 2018 Testing and Driver Training on the new Class 800, and 802 Hitachi IETs is continuing in the South West. Upwards of 6-10 diagrams a day can be viewed at Taunton on some occasions. On Wednesday 4th July 2018 Class 802 No.802001 exits Whiteball Tunnel while working the 5Z87 10:56 Southall - Penzance diagram. The previous trip from Laira had cut short its diagram to London Paddington and so terminated at Southall to return to Penzance. The set later worked back to Laira Depot where it stabled overnight.
