4th March 1998 Experimental Class 37 No. 37901 'Mirrlees Pioneer' (fitted with a Mirrlees engine) passes through 40 Steps, Taunton on the 4th March 1998 hauling a rake of empty 'Gunnel' wagons. Given the locomotive was based in Wales it's most likely this was a Newport ADJ - Exeter Riverside Engineers working. (Photo: Taunton Trains Collection)
