24th June 2026 Saphos Trains operated 'The Welsh Marches Express' in the summer heatwave on the 26th June 2026. No.57302 was not in the best of health, having already failed the previous day. No.57302 and No. 47810 'Crewe Diesel Depot' operated in top and tail formation as 1Z61 06:17 Paington - Shrewsbury, pictured passing Cogload Junction in the morning sunlight. The loco reached Bristol before failing, where the No. 47810 'Crewe Diesel Depot' ran around the train to lead.
