With St Bartholomew's Church in East Lyng providing a classic backdrop its a shame it can't be said that the railway embankment could provide the same. With the recent cutting back of undergrowth at Athelney having revealed a plethora of plastic left along the lineside. With plastic waste being so high on the environmental agenda you could be mistaken for thinking Network Rail have a disjointed policy when it comes to cutting back and clearing up plastic waste and litter at the same time.
