Taken in August 1960 BR Two Tone Green Class 35 'Hymek' No.D7000 passes over Silk Mills Crossing with a rake of Blue Circle pres flow cement wagons. The Photographer also noted: No brake van, guard in rear loco cab in accordance with new manning rule. The working was most likley a Westbury - Exmouth Junction working which would of split the train into two portions at Exeter Riverside Yard for onward tripping up the hill into Exeter Central and onto Exmouth Junction.
