Rail Operations Group moved the another off lease GWR HST set from Laira on Tuesday 26th September 2023. No. 37608 'Andromeda' hauled HST powercars No. 43192 'Trematon Castle' and No. 43010 'Lyford Castle' north as 5L46 09:57 Laira - Ely Papworth Sidings. The movement is captured passing through Platform 4 at Taunton.

Rail Operations Group (ROG) Class 37 No. 37608 'Andromeda' returned north through Taunton on Wednesday 26th July 2023 operating as 5L46 09:55 Laira - Ely Papworth Sidings. The train was conveying former GWR HST set GW11 48133, 48132, 48131, 49111, (all Mk3's were de0branded). The coaching stock was being transported to Ely for storage.

Rail Operations Group (ROG) headed south to Laira on he 25th July 2023 conveying two barrier vehicles (6344 and 6348). The 5V84 07:35 Derby - Laira service was operating to collect off lease HST stock to be taken for secure storage. No. 37608 'Andromeda' is pictured passing Fordgate.

Rail Operations Group (ROG) Class 37/5 No. 37510 'Orion' heads north through Norton Fitzwarren hauling the 5L46 09:57 Laira to Ely Papworth Sidings on Thursday 9th June 2023. In the consist behind the locomotive was barrier vehicle 6330 and GWR-liveried HST Mk3 coaches 48115, 48125, 49107 and power car No.43170 minus its 'Chepstow Castle' name plate.

In the consist behind the locomotive was barrier vehicle 6330 and GWR-liveried HST Mk3 coaches 48115, 48125, 49107 and power car No.43170 minus its 'Chepstow Castle' name plate.

Motive power was provided by Class 37 locomotives No. 37601 'Perseus' and No. 37419 'Carl Haviland 1954-2012', captured here at Cogload Junction returning to base with the 7Z21 11:22 Fairwater Yard to Fairwater Yard via Weston-Super-Mare.

The loco passes LMS Pacific No. 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' departing with 1Z34 08:12 Bristol Temple Meads - Par charter 'The Royal Duchy'

Rail Operations Group Class 37 No. 37800 'Cassiopia' visited Taunton briefly on Friday 19th August/ Saturday 20th August. The loco had towed a pair of Class 321/9 units for scrapping at Sims Metals Newport on the 19th August. The loco then operated light engine to Taunton as 0W0 18:00 Newport Docks - Taunton where the loco stabled until Sunday.

Rail Operations Group moved a set of First Great Western liveried stock from Laira on Tuesday 15th September 2020. Looking somewhat weather-beaten ex-FGW First Great Western HST Power Cars No.43029, No. 43027 'Acton Castle' and No. 43022 'Nether Stowey Castle', lead Mk3 coaches 42087, 42580, ROG Mk 1 Barrier vehicle 6340 with Class No. 47815 'Great Western' bringing up the rear passing Creech St Michael on Tuesday 15th September 2020 forming a most unusual consist running as the 5E36 10:47 Laira to Doncaster Works where the stock will be refurbished to become part of three more 'Castle' sets.

Rail Operations Group headed west on Monday 14th September 2020 with HST barrier coach 6340 in tow. The coach had recently undergone work at Eastleigh Works and now carries 'Rail Operations Group' branding after GWR no longer requires the use of these barrier vehicles. No. 47815 'Great Western' is seen passing through the un-kept station area while operating 5V84 10:141 Derby - Laira diagram to collect more HST stock for refurbishment and conversion.

Having delivered the latest converted Mk3 stock to the GWR Laira depot, Rail Operations Group Class 37 No.37884 returns through Creech St Michael on Friday 24th April 2020 operating as 5M59 11:37 Laira - Leicester Depot. The train ran some two hours ahead of schedule and conveyed barriers 6330 and 6338 back to its Leicester operations base.

Rail Operations Group (ROG) transported another set of converted Mk3 coaching stock with sliding doors back to GWR on Thursday 23rds April 2020. No.37884 was supplied to operate 5V84 11:33 Doncaster works - Laira with newly converted trailers 49113 48123 48134 48133 49111 sandwiched between barriers 6330 and 6338 passing Banklands on the approach to Cogload Junction.
