BR 'Britannia' Class 4-6-2 No. 70000 'Britannia' enters Devon hauling 1Z82 08:44 London Victoria to Exeter St Davids on Wednesday 28th April with Class 66 No.66122 also located on the rear of the train.

Day two of 'The Great Britain' charter also passed through Taunton on Sunday 27th April 2014, the tour featured GWR Castle No. 5029 'Nunney Castle' and SR Pacific No. 34046 'Braunton'. The pair storm north at Cogload Junction with the 1Z85 09:01 St Austell - Bristol Temple Meads charter. The tour also had West Coast Railways Class 47 No. 47746 'Chris Fudge 29.7.70 - 22.6.10' attached to the rear of the train to provide electric train supply.

LMS Black 5 locomotives No.44871 and No. 45407 'The Lancashire Fusilier' returned north through Taunton on Sunday 21st April 2013, hauling 'The Great Britain VI' (Day 2) from Newquay to Cardiff Central. After taking their booked water stop at Tiverton Loop, the pair made a rare non stop pass through Taunton at speed. They are seen here passing 40 Steps, Taunton before whistling through the station operating as 1Z85 09:40 Newquay - Cardiff Central.

Looking very 1960's with a nice dusting of dirt on the locomotive, No. D1015 'Western Champion' passes Creech St Michael on Wednesday 7th April 2010. It is captured working 1Z52 10:19 Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth, while on the diesel operated leg of the 'Great Britain III' tour. Attached at the rear of the train is West Coast's Class 47 No.47760.

BR Maroon No. D1015 'Western Champion' passes Cogload Junction on Tuesday 7th April 2009 with 1Z21 07:45 Bristol Temple Meads to Penzance operating 'The Great Britain II' charter. The heritage diesel hauled the tour through to Penzance where the return trip was hauled by 34067 'Tangmere' and 700013 'Oliver Cromwell'
