Fragonset Class 31 No.31452 is pictured in Platform 2 at Taunton in 'top and tail' formation with No.31454 on the 21st July 2007. The pair were operating 1Z35 11:10 Minehead - Bristol Temple Meads 'Butlins Express' service with Mk2 Intercity coaching stock formed of 9797 5906 5797 5866 and 6168.

Intercity liveried Fragonset Class 31 No.31454 and classmate No.31452 arrive into Taunton on the 21st July 2007 operating 1Z39 14:06 Bristol Temple Meads to Minehead 'The Butlins Express' holidaymaker service. The train operated on summer Saturdays as a one-off trial in 2007 to show how through trains from Bristol could transport passengers to the West Somerset Railway, Butlins and also allow passengers from Minehead to go shopping in Bristol for the day on direct train service.

Fragonset Class 31 locomotives No.31452 and No.31454 lead 'The Butlins Express' 1Z35 11:10 Minehead to Bristol Temple Meads along the relief line at 40 Steps into Taunton Station. The special trial holiday train operated in top and tail mode with through wired coaches 6168 5866 5797 5906 9497 allowing both locomotives to provide power to the train.

Fragonset Class 31 No. 31128 'Charybdis' is pictured in Platform 1 at Taunton. The loco arrived on a light engine crew training run at 23:30 on the 13th May 2006 operating as 0Z31 20:40 Derby RTC - Taunton. The loco stabled in Platform 1 at Taunton over the weekend.

Fragonset Class 47/7 No.47703 stands at Platform 2, Taunton on the 29th April 2006 ready to depart with Pathfinder Tours 'Cambrian Borderer' charter. The 1Z53 05:36 Taunton - Barmouth departed late from Taunton after the guard was involved in a car accident on the way to the station, but was still able to work on the train. The Class 47 worked the train to Birmingham New Street where Fragonset Class 33s No.33202 and No.33103 took over.

Owing to continued problems with the Class 45 power unit No.47703 is pictured at Taunton with No. 45112 'Royal Army Ordnance Corps' on the 22nd April 2006. 'The Devonian' 1Z56 16:15 Kingswear - Derby departed Taunton with the Class 47 leading back to Derby.

The locomotive was being used for driver training trips and having been stabled at Taunton all day, operated 0Z31 19:50 Taunton - Abbotswood Junction light engine move. The diagram originally should have started at Exeter DMU Sidings.
