Crosscountry Voyager sets No.221141 and No.220021 pass Allerford working 1V46 06:15 York to Plymouth on Saturday 2nd May 2026. The lead Voyager has clearly had some preparatory work carried out in advance of entering Derby for refurbishment in due course, which will vastly improve the external presentation of the Voyager fleet.

Additional refurb units released into traffic have appeared in a relatively short space of time, which include No.220021, No.220023, No.220025, and No.220027.

The passengers packed into a five-car Cross Country Voyager heading west at Norton Fitzwarren is a stark contrast to the luxury and millionaires on board the Britannic Explorer, having spent the night sleeping on board the train at Bishops Lydeard. No.221137 is picutred on Saturday 18th April 2026 operating 1C42 08:45 Bristol Temple Meads - Plymouth, passing No. 66742 'ABP Port of Immingham Centenary 1912-2012' and No. 66748 'St Michaels Mount' operating 1C02 09:05 Bishops Lydeard - Penzance via Taunton.

The striking new Cross Country livery has begun making appearances at Taunton. The colours featured on the newly refurbished Voyager include the colours of Cornish Clotted Cream, Royal Mile Teal, English Rose, and Cardiff Bay Sunset. No.220033 and No.220033 are pictured passing Silk Mills on the 18th March 2026 while operating 1S51 12:27 Plymouth - Edinburgh. Over the coming months, more refurbished Voyagers will exit from Derby Litchurch Lane, bringing more refurbished sets into public service.

Bringing a splash of much-needed new colour to the Taunton area, the new Cross Country livery made its debut in the westcountry on Thursday, 26th February 2026. The first Voyager set to receive the striking new livery, Class 220 No.220033 is captured paired with Class 221 No.221120 heading west with the 1V58 10:05 Edinburgh to Exeter St Davids service. Cross-country services to Paignton, Plymouth, and Penzance during this period were being terminated at Exeter due to a major engineering blockade further west.

Cross Country Driver Chris Hopkins has covered thousands of miles in his career on the railway, but the 30th December 2025 saw his last driving turn before taking early retirement. His last turn was captured at Taunton Station on board No.221119 operating 1M41 10:14 Paignton - Manchester Piccadilly.
