Making a rare appearance at Taunton on the 21st June 2026. GWR Class 150/2 No.150221 operated an empty stock transfer between two GWR depots. The two-car unit is pictured passing Taunton operating 5Z76 17:00 St Philips Marsh - Exeter TMD.

A pair of GWR Class 150/2 units made a rare trip to Taunton on the 30th March 2026 under the cover of darkness. No.150207 and No.150247 teamed up to operate 2M73 21:09 Paington - Taunton. The service normally operates through to Bristol, but due to overnight engineering work, passengers were transferred onto road transport for their onward journey.

The two-car unit was used as a shuttle service between Taunton and Bishops Lydeard in connection with the Railway 200 Exhibition Train. The unit later departed with passengers operating as 2Z50 10:05 Taunton - Bishops Lydeard.

Class 150 Diesel Multiple Units were once a common sight at Taunton but are now mainly based at Exeter TMD for working the branches of Devon. The Class do however make occasional trips to St Philips Marsh depot for tyre turning. On Tuesday 14th October 2025 No.150246 passesthrough Platfrom 3 at Taunton while running empty as 5Z76 09:10 St Philips Marsh - Exeter TMD.

Great Western Railway (GWR) Class 150 No.150261 heads north through the former site of Creech St Michael Halt station running empty as the 5H70 10:40 Exeter TMD to Wolverton on Saturday 31st August 2024. Running 52 minutes ahead of schedule at this point the DMU is recorded on-route to Wolverton Works where a full C6 overhaul will be carried out.

Following the service disruption from Storm Eunice on Friday 18th February 2022, many trains and crews were out of position. Services continued to be disrupted over the weekend. One rare working occurred on Sunday 20th February 2022 with a triple Class 150/2 working. No.150248, No.150265 and No.150246 teamed up to operate 1A78 09:33 Exeter St Davids - Westbury. The threesome are pictured passing over a rare stretch of track for the class at West Lyng. Later in the day the three units were also used to operate a service to Reading, another incredibly rare occurrence.

The rare combination of No.150219 No.143619 and No.143612 passes Cogload Junction operating as 5Z74 09:51 Exeter TMD - St Philips Marsh.
