With the spire of St Andrews Church illuminated in the background, Network Rail Class 31 No.31285 is pictured stabled in Platform 6 in Taunton on the 29th March 2006.

The loco had been engaged on route learning trips and arrives as 0Z31 Westbury - Taunton, where it stabled for the night.

The 2006 Spring Steam Gala weekend was held on the West Somerset Railway between the 23rd to 25th March.

The event had a 'Somerset and Dorset' theme with stations renamed match those from the Somerset and Dorset route. Sadly weather conditions were inclement at best, but did make for some interesting photography along the 19 mile line.
