First Great Western powercar No.43177 passes Creech St Michael after a local summer heavy downpour had passed through the area on the 10th July 2002.

The service originated from London Paddington heads west.

With driver Dennis Barnes at the controls Class 67 No.67021 passes Taunton on Wednesday 3rd July 2002 operating 1M64 19:15 Plymouth - Willesden mail.

This service was always formed from two PCV control vans and two standard NKA mail vans.

Virgin Cross Country powercar No.43178 is pictured in the evening sunlight at Taunton on the 3rd July 2002 while operating a Newcastle - Exeter St Davids passenger service waiting to depart south for its final stops at Tiverton Parkway and Exeter St Davids before proceeding to Laira Depot as empty stock for servicing and overnight cleaning/ maintenance.
