The West Somerset Railway held their 'Somerset and Dorset' Spring Steam Gala weekend on the second weekend of March 1995.
The event featured locomotives prototypical to the Somerset and Dorset route with both visiting engines and home fleet locomotives taking part. Some locomoives were also renumbered to former class members which also once travelled the route.

BR 'Britannia' No. 70000 'Britannia' powers through Cogload Junction on the 2nd March 1996.
The loco was operating Hertfordshire Railtours 'The Western Star'. The 1Z27 08:02 London Paddington - Minehead was joined by WSR loco No. 7820 'Dinmore Manor' at Bishops Lydeard for the run through to Minehead together.
