Large Logo Class 50 No. 50009 'Conqueror' is pictured stabled adjacent to Taunton Depot on the 14th of December 1982.
The loco had suffered wheelset damage and had been fitted with a wheel skate on the leading bogie. The locomotive was presumably waiting for an overnight speed restricted slow run back to Laira Depot for maintenance and tyre turning.
