This week we feature a selection of images taken in 1962/1963 from the 40 Steps, Staplegrove Road area of Taunton.
The images depict steam and early diesel operations in the main station area, showing the expanse of tracks, sidings and depot area which once existed.
We would like to pay special thanks Peter Triggs for providing a selection of albums from the Owen Mogg collection for us to scan, detail and enhance for display on Taunton Trains.
We have spent several months scanning, compiling and researching images to provide as much additional information as possible to compliment the stunning array of trains and services captured by Owen during his lifetime taking images in the Taunton area.
