Taunton Photo Focus

We thought it was about time to look back at a few images from the past on the front page. We start with this 'Superb' shot taken on the 24th September 2003 with an outlandish combination at Taunton. Class 55 Deltic D9016 'Royal Highland Fusilier' was provided to haul 50002 'Superb' from Barrow Hil to Totnes. After many years in store, 50002 was being returned to the South Devon Railway for a lengthy restoration. Seven years later the loco will soon be returning pristine condition at Buckfastleigh.
